Singles arriving in outlandish holiday sweaters receive free mistletoe headband 

What: Nothing breaks the ice faster than ice skating at the new Holiday Ice Rink in Culver City presented by MelroseMAC at 9300 Culver Blvd. Grab your single friends and get the conversation started with a spin around the rink; no worries about “falling” for that perfect someone. Rewarding those spreading holiday cheer, free mistletoe headbands will be presented to the first 50 attendees who are all aglow in their favorite “over the top” holiday sweater.

Spreading holiday cheer in conjunction with the Culver City Education Foundation, The Holiday Ice Rink in Culver City is hosting two special fundraising skating sessions where 100 percent of proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing quality educational programs for every student in the Culver City Unified School District.

Thursday, November 29^th and Wednesday, December 5^th skating sessions at 7:00pm are the designated fundraising times. Students, teachers and the general public are all encouraged to take a spin on the ice, knowing that their outdoor recreation will help secure educational funding and resources. All skate sessions are one hour with general admission at $10, while kids 12 and under are $6, and skate rental is $4.

CULVER CITY – There’s ice in the forecast for Culver City this holiday season with the debut of the HOLIDAY ICE RINK in Culver City, presented by MelroseMAC, open everyday November 20, 2012 through January 7, 2013. Nestled in the trendy downtown district and surrounded by shops and restaurants, the picturesque holiday rink is located at 9300 Culver Blvd., just off Washington Blvd.

Offering the ideal winter wonderland escape for lunch breaks, date nights, play dates, and holiday family “stay-cations,” the outdoor venue boasts healthy fun for every age and skate size. Admission is $10, and kids 12 and under are $6. Skate rental is $4. Group and party rates are available.

The Culver City Downtown Association and Willy Bietak Productions combined resources to bring the stunning 50’X90’ HOLIDAY ICE RINK to Culver City and the extended community. The rink promises to be the mecca for holiday fun in the city’s primary shopping, dining and entertainment district. Dazzling in full holiday splendor, patrons and spectators will enjoy celebrating the spirit of the season while gliding under the southland’s sun and stars.

Benefiting the community, an outreach alliance with the Culver City Education Foundation provides fundraising incentives that give back to local schools. A special thanks for support goes to The Culver Studios.
